Levee Road ©2006 Richard March Windy morning and the storm has broke River's rushing but the skies are finally blue. I'm walking on a levee road Fields are flooded and I'm thinking about you And I. I was just learning to crawl Frozen from the fear I might fall Hiding, 'hind a make believe wall And You. Drawing doodles with a drying pen Scratching sketches a' half a' what could be Then you came on with a rainbow set Said together we could paint a masterpiece And You. You were ready for the long ride Standing with your arms open wide "Honey won't you stay by my side?" And I.
