Eastern Girl

Slow city train, my mind wanders far
Back to the summer, to the mountains I were
Beautiful people were all that I knew
One of the finest was you
My eastern girl, you're so refined
Never a stranger, and never unkind
So much a woman, but early in age
You give me the courage, to turn a new page
You search for an idol, a model, a guide
To give you direction; keep your soul satisfied
As you get older, been 'round a few bends
The ones you put faith in, are the ones you call friends
So let me just call you a friend
Though you're far away, these feelings I send
It's not been a lifetime, not even a year
But when I first met you, it became quite clear
Yours was a beauty, I longed to define
It was only a matter of time
