Butterfly

Butterfly, butterfly
Spread your wings and take the sky
Won’t you see it through
You were meant to open wide
Don’t you hide yourself inside
Butterfly

Yeah it’s really you, come true
I’m calling Butterfly, butterfly
You were born, you will die
In between the dream is only that you learn to fly
Oh butterfly, I won’t lie
Some would catch you just to see you die
You can make it but you gotta take a chance and fly
Butterfly

You’ve got a worried mind, outside the shell
So safe inside, and dark as Hell
But when you make that choice, to spread those wings
Babe, I know you’ll never regret,
Oh such joy they bring

You let your colors fly, you’re born again
I know it’s harder than Hell
But the pain is worth the freedom found
Aren’t you tired, tired of living on the ground

Oh, and butterfly, I won’t lie
Some would catch you just to see you cry
But you can make it if you take yourself a chance and fly
Butterfly.
